PERSONAL WORK
photographer / artist
I returned to photography through a self published book and newspaper combining original images and drawings, created with leading male models.
The project was conceived as a tightly art directed shoot, but days before production I broke my foot. As the work drifted across the shoot, I abandoned the plan on the final day, sent the team antiquing, asked the models to wear their own clothes, and moved everything into the yard.
The book portion was made in three hours while I was on crutches. It does not mirror the original plan, but it preserves its spirit. The experience reinforced a belief that shapes my practice: preparation matters, but knowing when to pivot matters more.
